Ray Collins first photographed his friends surfing after knocking off as a coal miner. Through his lens, the Australian observed that the shapes of the waves looked incredibly beautiful, and focused on them instead.
The photographer is colourblind, but this gives him a unique perspective as he is able to capture the different colour contrasts of the waves he captures. In this series, “Found at Sea“, we’re able to experience the ocean, almost as though we’re there, as well.
